Trip is a Shepherd/Cattle dog mix about 3yrs old with three legs. He is a sweet boy but is initially a bit reserved when meeting new people. He likes to get to know you before you enter his space...can't blame the guy... I am the same. This lasts for about 2 minutes. He loves the company of men and just wants to be next to you. He listens really well and he does not know that he is physically challenged. He hikes with the other dogs and is good for a 45 min run. He is very active and can jump just like any other dog.He escaped death from a high kill shelter in Georgia where there is just not enough space to house all the homeless pets. Trip was brought into the shelter and surrendered by his owner because he could no longer afford to care for Trip. He likes the company of other dogs and loves to run with them but is not really into playing with other dogs. He is more of a people dog. He does have some food guarding around other dogs so a home with no small children would be best to avoid any accidental misunderstandings. Trip really needs to find a furever home. He has been with us for 2 months now.
