Max is 7yrs young and full of life. He was surrendered to E.C.G.S.R. because his owner in Georgia could not afford to feed him any longer and Max should be about 15lbs heavier. I agreed to take him on our transport North, however, he was left behind in a foster home Georgia due to space in the vehicle. I was panicked as this was the dog that was an owner surrender and I promised to find him a wonderful home here in Canada.After a few days of panick and phonecalls etc..another transport agreed to pick Max up in Georgia and bring him to me at the Canadian border. Phew, what a relief.
Max is quiet and I have yet to hear him bark. He loves the other doggies and balls. He is affectionate and loving but needs someone willing to train him to walk properly. He does not know basic commands and typical of a Shep wants to be with his people as much as possible. He is not fond of cats. Max is also good with children. Max is neutered but is also heartworm positive which means he will have to be treated in the near future, which will be covered by the rescue. He can still go to a home but will require medication.
