Adopt

You must be 21yrs of age to adopt a dog.

To download the adoption form please click here. Please email filled out applications to adopt@ecgsrescue.com. If you cannot open the adoption form (.doc file) please fill out the form below.

FEE: Our adoption fee is 200.00 . Sometimes, the dog is spayed/neutered before going to their forever home. If the dog is not altered, the adoptee must have the dog spay/neutered within one month of adoption.

NOTE: Southern dogs adoption fee will be 300.00 to cover the extra costs such as boarding and transport fees.

Our adoption process includes filling out an adoption form, an adoption fee, a home visit, vet checks, as well as three references. We do our utmost to ensure dogs and their adopters are matched with strong consideration to lifestyle and needs. If you are not considered for a particular German Shepherd try not to take offense to this as each Shepherd’s needs are unique and we strive to place the dogs in permanent homes. Many rescue dogs have been shuffled around and desperately need permanency to feel secure. Once your application is approved it may just be a matter of time before you are matched with the perfect Shepherd for you and your family.

If you have any questions or concerns about the adoption process or about a certain dog please contact us. If you are interested in adopting a German Shepherd but don't see any currently on our web site please still consider filling out an adoption form. We can keep this on file and contact you when a dog that fits what you're looking for comes to us.
